Dr. Ashok Kumar Raina is a highly experienced and accomplished Respiratory Medicine Specialist with decades of expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine. As the Head of Department (HOD) – Respiratory Medicine at Sumitra Hospital, he leads the department with a strong focus on clinical excellence, patient safety, and evidence-based treatment protocols.
He completed his MBBS in 1977 from Kanpur University (now Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University). He earned his MD in TB & Respiratory Diseases in 1980, building a strong foundation in chest and pulmonary medicine.
In 2013, he did the DNB (Respiratory Medicine) and also holds the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM), conferred by the European Respiratory Society, reflecting international-level expertise in respiratory medicine.
